Description

The Kel-Tec SUB2000 Gen3 is a folding semi-auto pistol-caliber carbine chambered in 9mm Luger and built around a simple, reliable blowback action. Designed to accept Glock-pattern magazines, the Gen3 is the latest evolution of Kel-Tec’s backpack-friendly carbine platform, and this variant ships in a distinctive two-tone tan and black finish scheme.

At the heart of the rifle sits a 16.15″ steel threaded barrel with a 1:10 twist and a factory thread protector. The barrel is threaded 1/2×28 for easy suppressor or compensator mounting and feeds a push-bolt safety-equipped action running through an aluminum receiver. A tan Picatinny optics rail tops the receiver, and the Gen3 ships with no iron sights so the shooter can mount their preferred red dot or magnified optic on the optics-ready platform.

A tan M-LOK handguard surrounds the free-floated barrel, providing modern accessory mounting for lights, lasers, foregrips, or bipods. Behind the receiver, a tan synthetic folding stock collapses the platform into a backpackable footprint for truck stowage, paired with a black polymer pistol grip for familiar ergonomics. The blued/black metal finish pairs cleanly with the tan furniture for high-visibility contrast.

The SUB2000 Gen3 runs an overall length of approximately 29.25″ to 30.45″ depending on configuration, weighs just 4.20 lbs unloaded, and is rated for 10+1-round Glock-pattern magazines.
