The Underwood Ammo XTP load delivers high-performance, hunting-grade 45 Long Colt ammunition built around the eXtreme Terminal Performance (XTP) jacketed hollow point. Loaded to +P pressure, this 250 gr bullet is engineered for deep penetration and reliable expansion on medium to large game, and it doubles as a serious self-defense choice in modern, heavy-frame revolvers and rifles chambered in .45 Colt.

Pushing the 250-grain XTP at 1400 fps, this +P loading produces 1088 ft lbs of muzzle energy – well above the standard-pressure .45 Long Colt envelope. The nickel-plated brass cases feed smoothly through magnum cylinders, resist corrosion, and present a clean, reloadable platform for handloaders.

+P ammunition operates at higher chamber pressures and is intended only for modern heavy-frame revolvers and rifles chambered in .45 Long Colt. It should not be used in older or slim-frame revolvers that were not designed for elevated pressure loads.
